Gorse Meadow Bed and Breakfast
On foot, it's a 30 minute stroll to the market town of Lymington and 4-6 miles to the beaches. It also Just over a mile into the NEW FOREST NATIONAL PARK. This Country House Hotel stands on an elevated site, at the end of an eighty yard gravel drive, with splendid views over our extensive grounds and gardens.
The friendly gardens include the fishpond and its surrounding lawn and ornamental garden, complete with deck chairs and loungers where on summer evening you may be enjoying a GORSE MEADOW SPECIAL BARBECUE - not to be missed!
All the 16 or so acres of grounds, are open to the guests except for those few paddocks occupied by the horses or other animals.
About the Tee's
Owner Mrs Tee is also a celebrity in her own right and has been listed as a member in WHO’s WHO. She is an internationally recognised authority on Wild Mushrooms who, with her husband John Hillman, has established a business supplying wild and cultivated exotic mushrooms to catering establishments including the Grosvenor Hotel and the Dorchester Hotel and to the public for over 25 years.
Her other “claims to fame” include owning the largest Great Dane on record, the Lloyds Bank horse from 1984 - 1987and also an international Show Jumper that was short listed 4 times for the Olympics, ridden by Robert Smith and Michael Whittaker.
Not wishing to be out done by Mrs Tee, Mr Hillman created and managed the guitar legend Jimi Hendrix and still owns some Copyright.
